Woo! Coming soon to a bookstore near you! It's the second part of Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It's supposed to come out on Fall 2005, so I'm waiting for that one and for the 12th of A Series of Unfortunate Events ;).

Yep, that is Meggie, the main character (I think). She's supposed to be 12 in Inkheart, but since this is Inkspell I decided she might as well look older. But dammit! Inkblood sounds so much better and they changed the title because it sounded too violent. Violent my butt, Inkblood is cooler.
Craptastic background, I know. I did Meggie in one day and spent a week thinking what could be a good background. And it still sucked. I suck at backgrounds.

I love her shoes for some reason. ;)

So THAT is why they changed the title in America? Duh. It just doesn't make sense with "spell" - it's all part of the story. I've always wondered why they went for this completely nonsensical title...

I'm halfway through "Tintentod/Inkdeath" by now. Is that too cruel too? What'll they call that, Inksleep? ;)

I've been lazy and have yet to read the sequel but this picture has great angle and look to it. Also was inkblood the title for the european version and they changed it when it came to the states or was that just the orginal title period?
